Student Life Ministries

Student Life at Spirit Christian Academy is a vibrant ministry that provides a variety of programs, activities, and services that advance the development of students intellectually, emotionally, spiritually, and physically within a learning community committed to strong Christian values.

With the mindset of “In Christ Alone”, the Student Life department seeks to develop students of character and competence by serving the community, providing opportunities to engage in Christ-centered activities, and focusing on spiritual formation and interpersonal development.

Elementary students are immersed in a variety of enrichment programs including art work, sports, chapels, and stage productions in which students not only connect with one another through events, practice, and training, but also grow closer to Christ through leadership skills and fellowship with each other.

Secondary students take on a more active role where they can participate in a number of events. These include monthly small group- discussion based- Bible studies called One28 Ministries (based off of Colossians 1:28 which says: “He is the one we proclaim, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ” [NIV]), bi-weekly chapels where they have the opportunity to teach and participate in worship, a number of lunchtime activities, and service projects where we can give back to the community.

Two of the biggest parts of this ministry where students can fellowship with one another, grow closer to God, and strengthen their bonds as a class, are at our annual Surrendering and Zion trips. Each year, students embark on a journey where they can connect to God in a whole new way and seek to develop a deeper understanding of who He is. These trips are also a great opportunity to meet new students and get families to interact with each other.
